After taking on a brief Sidequest into the field of Classics and winning a National Championship, I commited myself to the challenge of software development, which has been so much fun!

Software Engineering Intern
At Google I built an autonomous, hierarchical agentic workflow to de-singleton Google Workspace's cross-platform editor framework. It orchestrates LLM worker subagents inside deterministic script guardrails, reads from an AST-derived call-graph database, and generates migration CLs that propagate dependency injection up call trees five or more classes deep. The system eliminated 10,000+ legacy singleton usages, accelerating a migration that had been ongoing since 2017 and resolving state-corruption risks from per-document JSVMs being consolidated into a single JVM. Over the summer I shipped 460+ CLs (40K+ lines) to production across Docs, Sheets, and Slides, reviewed by senior engineers on five to ten owning teams.

Software Engineering Intern
As a Software Engineering Intern at JPMorgan Chase, I engineered a robust, scalable full-stack legal application for hybrid cloud deployment. Utilizing a tech stack that included Java, Spring, and SQL for the backend and Angular with TypeScript for the front-end, the application integrated over 20 microservices via RESTful APIs. This system was designed to securely manage over 43 million rows of data, and its implementation resulted in a 30x increase in the efficiency of legal investigations. Collaborating with industry mentors and traders within an Agile framework, I helped deliver more than 15 key features while ensuring the entire application complied with stringent security and legal practices.

Software Engineer
At Fermilab, in association with CERN, I worked on the DUNE (Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment) project. I architected an isolated, end-to-end application to optimize computational workflows, implementing machine learning models that predict the optimal compute node for a job and detect anomalous runtime behavior. I engineered the complete stack: a data ingestor, a robust database schema, a model execution runner, and a frontend dashboard that visualizes real-time job metrics. I also modernized the DUNE file management system with Next.js and React, replacing an outdated static site with a comprehensive search interface that lets researchers efficiently manage millions of data files on an updated SQL-backed file server, while adapting modern architecture to legacy infrastructure for a global research audience.

DPO (Data Pipeline Orchestrator)

Led a team of engineers in a Two Sigma-sponsored capstone to design a fully distributed, serverless pipeline orchestration system, translating customer requirements into a scalable Azure architecture for arbitrary DAG-based compute workflows. Drove iterative design reviews with Two Sigma stakeholders, aligning decisions on the control plane (DAG parser, scheduler, state store) and the data plane (executor adapters, compute resources) with production-grade reliability and extensibility goals. Architected a self-sustaining "flywheel" execution model on Azure Functions and Service Bus: each task completion triggers evaluation of its successors, so there is no long-running scheduler, which cuts infrastructure cost and operational complexity.
